My name is Brooke. I have entered the realm of early thirties and part of me feels like I have little to show for it, but then I get to thinking…oh I’ll just make a list list:
I am:
a mom to a wonderfully awesome little boy (M)
a wife (in my eyes) to a beautiful lady (K) who takes good care of me and our boy
a fur momma to 4 dogs, one giant cat and 2 fish
a college graduate
a GIS Specialist - I make maps
a daughter
a sister
a friend
etc. etc. etc.
When I was younger, I wrote ALL the time, about everything. I was mostly filled with teen angst and had a lot to write about. I’ve lost that. I’ve lost the teen angst, of course, but I’m hoping to regain the writing.
I’m hoping with the new year, to embrace life in a totally new way. I read a blog, in 2012, in which the blog owner chose a word, one single word, each year and it’s kind of her word to embrace and live by. My 2012 word was "Do". I think with pinterest gaining popularity, I was inspired to "do" so much in 2012...especially with my kiddo. This year, I've chosen the word "Create". I got an awesome camera for xmas and have been learning some photoshop techniques. I plan on creating many awesome photos this year.
