that moment when...

what we heard 
on saturday
came with shock
and terror...
k walked in
the door
from grocery shopping...
m said to c....
"mom's home c"
aaaggghhhhh pout pout
sniffle sniffle
our 4 year old
called her "mom", 
not "mommy".

that wasn't supposed 
to happen already...wtf?

we heard it...
there was no mistaking it. 
these little beings
grow way too fast.

a heavy heart

i've been thinking 
about this all day,
so I need to get it 
off my mind.

i've been thinking
about myself and
all of the many 
blogs i read, 
which tell the tales
of infertility
and tries and tries
and tears and tears
and hope.

all of you are 
entering my thoughts
because of the  
biomothers that 
throw their children
out like trash. 
the precious baby 
who loves it when
i snuggle my nose
into his chunky 
little belly
is one of those.
i go home from work
everyday to see 
him light up
just at the sight of me
when i walk in the door.
i'm lucky.

i think about
these women
and how they take
it so lightly.

A little detail on the pictures above...anytime M sees a lemon, he just wants to eat the thing! Maybe after this occasion, he'll figure out that a straight up lemon doesn't taste very good. In C news, lil' man is officially on the move! He hasn't quite mastered the crawl yet, but he's definitely got a little knee scoot down. 

Another side note: I really like this 52 project. I don't feel as stressed out for pics as I did when I thought I wanted to do Project.Life. I can handle one a week with no sweat.
